We are learning how to best affirm the neighbors of North Saint Louis. Through beautification, preventative healthcare and cultural story telling, we thrive in our daily lives. Food, health, and a positive mind state has kept generations strong.
The goal of this project is to encapsulate a connection with culture, nutrition and community/neighborhood shared norms. The questions focus on the belief system of the participant. Although statistical research is a part of the project, it is not central. The experience of the participant is valued.
The working healthy solutions that come from this project are the following:
-Promote Urban Agriculture and Gardens
-Advocate for Clean Air, Soil, Water and Nature
-Beautification as Crime Prevention
-Public Affirmation to Support Mental Health
-Oral Tradition as Preventative Healthcare Strategy
